Bank PO – Bank Clerk Coaching

A plethora of jobs have been have been thrown open in the recent past by the banking sector. It is believed that IBPS and SBI will boast of more than a lakh openings in the banking sector at clerical (probationary clerk) and officer (probationary officer) level in the coming year. The IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) conducts online examination for Insurance, RBI, SBI and 25 other government/nationalized banks.
The IBPS conducts examination on a yearly basis, the details of which usually appear in the month of July. The online registration for the clerk and the officer begins at the IBPS website www.ibpsexam.org.

Eligibility:

The eligibility criteria for those appearing for clerical exam are:
⦁ Indian citizenship
⦁ Age should be 20-28 years as on August 1.
⦁ SC/ST/OBC and other students, who fall in reservation category, enjoy certain relaxations which are as follows:

Relaxation of Upper age limit:

⦁ Knowledge of computers is mandatory for IBPS clerical position.
⦁ Language proficiency in the local language of the applying state is preferable.

2-Stage process:

IBPS conducts examination in two phases –preliminary and mains, post which the qualified candidates are called for a final interview that will determine their selection to one of the banks.

The online test is for 2 hours and 200 is the maximum score for both clerical and officer level exams.
